VPN Authentication via LDAP with AD Group Membership. i want to authenticate my SSL-VPN connections against LDAP (Active Directory). Now, i'm able to query against a username, but i'm not able to query if the user exists AND if the user is in an special AD group.

Apr 25, 2018 · So I had setup our sonicwall to our VPN ldap group to authenticate users, which was working fine, however now that the firmware was upgraded to 6.5.0.2-8n now, just importing the LDAP group doesn't work, but I also have to import the users and add them to the imported LDAP group. I made sure that the user group for XAUTH was the LDAP group.
