Thanks for your message. I have had another look at the files involved. I downloaded another browser and made that the default. I uninstalled Flash player plugin version 11. IPlayer stopped working in the new browser too. I went to the Adobe site and asked for the latest Flash Player (11) and downloaded it.

But for some reason the Firestick seems to know that it's not really in the UK whereas the Laptop is quite happy. I even have it registered with my Amazon UK account so that shouldn't be an issue Netflix, ITV, Ch4 don't seem to have the issue that the BBC Player does, but I'm not supposed to be watching it anyway so it's no big deal.
